Daniel J. Barnsley
As President and Owner of Barnsley Construction, Dan brings in over 38 years of construction experience.
In 1992, while employed as one of Jaynes Corporation’s most popular Senior Superintendents, Dan decided to lay the ground work for his own company. With Jaynes’ blessing, and while maintaining his position with them, he applied his impeccable eye for design and quality into custom homes.
Even though his company was flourishing, he found himself being drawn to more commercial projects. Since 2003, Barnsley Construction has been primarily focused on commercial projects. As his business grew, Dan decided to follow his passion and focus on Barnsley Construction full time. Dan recognizes the opportunity and need for reliable, economical, and effective contractors in New Mexico, and is eager to fulfill this need.
Dan has always been a family man, and runs his company in a similar manner. He is married to his wife of 38 years, Debbie, has two children, Jasmine & Jesse and five grandchildren.
Joseph Snyder has been with Barnsley Construction since 2012. You will find him at all of our projects keeping everything on track. He has worked across the construction industry in various roles since 1997. Prior to his career in construction, Joseph was an Officer for the US Navy Seabees, where is his currently still on reserve. He is an alumnus of University of Mary Hardin – Baylor where he studied business administration.
Ray Casias has been in construction full time since 2002. Prior to that, Ray was an officer in the United States Air Force. As an Aircraft Commander, Ray was able to practice the Teamwork that is cornerstone in the Barnsley Construction philosophy. As a graduate of University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Business with a Masters in Accounting, Ray has been able to bring a lot of new tools to Barnsley Construction. Ray has held a General Contractors licensee in Florida since 2007 with hundreds of projects he has managed in Florida, Alabama and New Mexico. He was the project manager and estimator on a new ground up 16,000 sq. ft Fire Station in Belen, NM, a ground up Buddhist Temple in Albuquerque, The Kadampa Meditation Center 18,000 sq. ft interior renovation, and a new HSD 53,000 sq. ft office renovation in Santa Fe to name a few.
Ray Martinez has been in construction for 38 years and has been a supervisor/superintendent for 28 years. He has run several multi-million dollar project including the new FBI building, Ft Wingate that was comprised of 6 large buildings, Mescalero that had 6 large buildings, remodelled 12 McDonalds Interiors, built 3 new McDonalds, done several interior renovations for offices and other shops to name a few. His experience has made him a very budget and schedule conscious superintendent. As a lead superintendent he brings this awareness to every job he does. His awareness and knowledge has made him a very popular superintendent with many of the building owners and tenants.
